    Genuinely surprised there isn't a thread on this already. We all know the story;
    When her father unexpectedly passes away, young Ella finds herself at the mercy of her cruel stepmother and her daughters. Never one to give up hope, Ella's fortunes begin to change after meeting a dashing stranger.

    I caught this yesterday with my 6 year old cousin (it was her second viewing) and I have to say that it is one of the most gloriously Disney-esque films I have seen in a long time. In the modern age where fairytales are deconstructed are made with a modern twist it was so refreshing to have an old fashioned tale that was so pure and innocent. Completely brought me back to my childhood. If I went on I might sound a little sycophantic but to anyone who grew up watching and loving Disney I cannot recommend this highly enough.

    Brought my nine year old to it a couple of weeks ago. My only problem with it is that the castle at the end, isn't "Cinderella's Castle"

    Which could have easily been done in CGI.

    I also would have loved to see it from the Evil Stepmother's point of view rather than Cinderella's like they did with Melificent.
