Calgon and ceramic heater

I have a washing machine with a ceramic heater (Samsung).

I also seem to have very hard water. I don't actually have a test kit, but I found I had to max out the salt dispensing in the dishwasher to avoid limescale deposits on dishes - that while using all-in-one tablets.

So I'd like to avoid limescale deposits on the heater in the washing machine as much as possible. Calgon is the generally known remedy for that. But is Calgon safe for a ceramic heater?

Some descalers say "don't use with ceramic heaters". Calgon does not say one way or the other...
