    Evening!
Looking to get a 9x7ft door.
Was thinking box metal and heavy galvanize riveted on.
Any ideas, ballpark as to my cost?

I'd be guessing around the 400 with rollers and track and fitting yourself. A roller door of that size is around the 800 plus vat supplied and fitted.

Always make these kind of things muself but counting sheeting, box iron, tex screws and a few quid to cover some way of hinging it and a couple of rawlbolts you are looking at about €200 ballpark. Add labour then.

Crikey. Never reckoned I was saving that much for my own labour.

Track and rollers are around 100 . Hinging a door that size is a recipe for an accident.

Have two that size and bigger hinged simply because I have nowhre to slide them. Only opened once in a blue moon and have anchor points well sorted to hold them open. Agreed though I would rather slide them.

I don't really want a roller. Gotta 8.5x6ft hinged door here and it works the finest. Been up over forty years and alls that's changed is the colour!
Gotta quote off a friend for €200 materials. All in.
    I'll weld the frame myself.
    How does it sound?
