Purchased deanta doors for our new build and carpenter hung them yesterday. Noticed today few of them are chipped, so far not very impressed with them as a result.
I thought deanta were a reputable door, anyone else had hassle with them?

Have purchased alot of Deanta doors over the years. Have seen a fair bit of warping / twisting even when stored correctly.
Never an issue with returns at our local retailer. The only request from retailer is don't hang anything you are not happy with.

My friend used there doors on an extension, the catalogue they got was excellent but the doors were very poor quality so they returned them. They eventually got replacements after months of waiting, only to have the same problems again. The salesman they were dealing with in sandyford said it was happening all the time, and finally offered them a different supplier. There doors were a white finish.

Went back to supplier yesterday and was second person that day to complain about them! Didn't seem any issue that we had just hung them, they did ask us not to do anything else with them. Waiting for supplier to ring me, they will probably call out to see. Love the doors just a shame the seem to chip so easily.

Did you get wooden doors or white ones, I'm thinking of changing my old white doors and I was looking at the options out there.

One of the worse doors I've ever painted. A customer bought some recently and they were terrible. They came pre primed which look like a child had done it and every Joint had split and been filled with 2 pac filler and not sanded.

Any more feedback on the Deanta Doors - I've only heard good things so wondering about going through with an order (at some point this week) after reading these stories from dissatisfied customers.

What do primed doors mean. Prefinished. Does this we add the final coat of paint and colour we want ourselves?

Funny I was wondering same - going to a 5 star showroom on Thursday
Deanta has a list of suppliers and rates their display if they have one. It's an hour drive for us on our only day off since Christmas and next day off is Easter which will be too late.
But yes you paint the primed wood. I'm hearing colourtrend do a nice colour called "French Cream"
There was some big long debate about colours and paints here so I think colour trend hands down seems to be coming up trumps... I don't know what I'd do without all the tips from here purely from lurking alone!
Our doors will be oak and guy on phone said this finish is most popular currently. Might go with Georgian skirting architrave.

Hmmmmm, one shop was advising me to avoid Deanta and buy Whiteriver, which they supply obviously enough. Carpenter though recommended Deanta!
