How early can NCT be booked?

    As title how early can it be booked, ive read on ncts website that a certificate can be issued 90 days early but what happens if i get my car tested 5 months early or can i?

    3 months early for cars on their 2nd and subsequant NCT, 6 months for cars on their first.

    You can NCT your car earlier than this but will then get an NCT for only that date and not due date so say you do your 3rd NCT 4 months early you get a 2 year NCT from that date, not from the date it would have been due.

    At least book it early, theres a huge backlog in most test centres

    You get the test for free if an appointment cannot be given to you before your expiry date.

    Yes. Or if you wait until August you would get it until October 2016. NCT is 1 year for cars over 10 years, 2 years for cars less than 10.
