Missed this during the week apologies for the title
Two Nigerian chaps get into a fight in swords in broad daylight one pulled a baseball bat from his BMW during some fisty cuffs when he looses the bat he gets a second bat from his car and smashes his former friend skull in killing him in the process
Goes to trial not found guilty of murder and cant be found guilty of manslaughter
Is there anything that comes with consequences in this country

That's what I call a prepared man. Not one, but two baseball bats in your car.

The people who heard all the facts decided that he acted in self defence. It's hardly outrageous.

A father of four has been cleared of murdering a man with a baseball bat in broad daylight on a busy street in what one witness described as “like something out of Star Wars”.

    Wait, you what now?

Please read the report in your link again and amend your précis. It is inaccurate and misleading.

Again, the jury who heard the evidence over 2 weeks decided he acted in self defence.

Do you have access to something they were not aware of, to enable you dismiss their input with your ass?

You'd have to wonder why there was 6+ days of evidence, and then the jury spent 7 hours deliberating it, when all it takes a good citizen like the OP to come up with a verdict is a 300 word summation.

    This bit.

he looses the bat he gets a second bat from his car

"punching him in the jaw before grabbing a bat. He testified that it was only then that he took the second bat out of the car"

He had the first bat and then grabbed a second ,

Should have said dual weiled baseball bats ?

Godamn Nigerians and their foreign ways! They need to learn to integrate

    I read it perfectly ,

    Had one baseball bat

    Claimed victim grabbed it ,

Took another baseball bat from the boot where he took the first one from,

That in mathematical terms is 1+1 = 2

Loads of people using baseball bats in fights.
Thought it must be a growing sport but you never see any results in the newspapers.

Would you guys prefer a hurl or a baseball bat, in facing off against a guy armed with a baseball bat>?

This is what the newspaper reported.

Mr Akanbi pulled into a parking spot further down the street, opened his boot, got out and went to the back of the car. He testified that he was getting documents out of the boot for a meeting.

Mr Jamani crossed the road to the accused, there was shouting and each man soon took a baseball bat out of the boot of the BMW.

Mr Akanbi said that the deceased was the first to raise his hand, punching him in the jaw before grabbing a bat. He testified that it was only then that he took the second bat out of the car.

At this stage I will let others decide whether your summary is accurate.

So they both took baseball bats out of the boot

That's what it says. There were two bats in the car boot. The report refers to bat number two as The Second Bat. The deceased had taken The First Bat from the boot before the accused took The Second Bat from the boot.

There was another one wrong spin as well.

He could have been found guilty of manslaughter. Indeed the article outlines precisely how they could have arrived at this conclusion, for example if the self defence was excessive.

I suspect what the OP has never had the benefit of an explanation of just how high the bar is set in seeking a verdict beyond all reasonable doubt...along with the 2 weeks of evidence and the 7 hours of discussion with others who also sat through the evidence...

Might not have been levelled up and didn't want to deal with the off hand penalty for dual welding? /nerd
