Does anybody suffer from anal retention? Do you have any ritual surrounding going to the toilet? I have an appointment with a psychiatrist this week. Its very hard to explain. I have this years, its only recently I have told someone about it.

    thanks

I had to check to see exactly what you refer to.

I think there are habits that are obsessive, and quite common.
One of those is covering the whole toilet seat all the way around so as not to touch it when sitting. This is very common with germaphobes.
I used to do this myself in public toilets when I was younger. I'm a bit more chill these days.

And a funny but practical one that i will share haha
I always wipe the seat before I sit down. Not so much to clean it, but more so to prevent splash back and noise if there are people nearby ;)
A free tip for the less experienced toilet goers lol
Whatever the issue, it is not so strange to have a ritual based around things like this.
The wiki link seems to explain well enough why thatcould be more likely. as children switch from a focus on oral fixations to anal when learning to use the toilet and detect their own needs in that regard.
