People back in the 80s I was on a spotting trip behind the Iron curtain. Which was quite a feat a d involved visas ... guides and all sorts of palaver

Anyway we were driving along and the guide told us to stop ... He knew our interest anyway this was a side of a hill in the middle of the Hungarian countryside.

This is what we found along with other abandoned stuff....20150502_145310.jpg

10 pts if you can guess what it is ... and it is a trick question

Damn I was hoping for a few guesses of c47 or dc3 .... yep we were allowed all over it .. got the con number off it was a genuine one . I'll hunt out a few more photos from that trip. The only time we got in trouble was in East Germany when we took photos of a steam train the guide went bonkers.

Yep had hassle crossing from Czechlosovakia into East Germany but found a case of coke (drink) we were carrying made the crossing easy. At dresden we found a line if an 12 and Berlin gave us the north Korean il62 which was rather nice

That's pretty cool... that exact plane is actually parked up at the entrance to budapest airport for the last several years. There is a small field with a few old malev aircraft.

    Do Malev fly into Dublin?

No. Malev went to the wall 2-3 (?) years ago.
