ENT specialist Dublin recommendations

Can anyone recommend a good ENT specialist in Dublin?

I saw my GP 2 months ago, he said I have Sinitis and put me on antibiotics and steroids for around 10days, followed by a nasal spray and anti histamine which I have been taking for the last 30 days and am meant to continue to take these for the next month or 2.

I feel that although I improved somewhat, I do feel that I am starting to deteriorate again.

I broke my nose back around 2008 and since then found it hard to breathe out of my right nostril.
I also had hay fever when I was a kid.
I now get some bits of dry blood when I gently blow my nose these days, also had some fresh blood there. this is coming from both nostrils.
I also have a bit of a phlegmy cough sometimes.
    Bit sore around my nose/eyes
Used to have a fair bit of nasal drip going down my throat before I started going to the GP about this.

I think its time to see a specialist and forget about my local GP

anyone recommend a good ENT around Dublin?

i dont have health insurance, any cheaper ways of doing this while being seen sooner rather than later?

    or

if i get health insurance now, would i be covered for getting whats wrong fixed even though i have already seen a gp about the problem?

Brendan conlon in the hermitage and I think he's still in James private.
He also has a public clinic in Tallaght.
I saw him years ago and my son is under his care the last 2 years for problem with his ear.
Saw him in clinic a few months ago and he was back operating on something he noticed 6 weeks later.

    He's a really nice guy.
If you call Linda his secretary in the hermitage she will organise you an appointment.
Not sure what a first appointment costs. We paid 140 when he wasn't in clinic in Tallaght and my son wouldn't let another doctor look at his ear. Had to see him privately and he was sorted.
Any issues we've had with my sons ear we just phoned the ent nurse in Tallaght and were able to arrive at his next clinic without a problem after the problem ws explained to him.

    thanks again tatranska,

You might be better seeing him privately first and then getting transferred to Tallaght.

We had the first 2 ops done privately in the hermitage and Tallaght. Then transferred to his public clinic.
The op last month was done publicly.
All were done in Tallaght in the space of 6 weeks but the situation required speedy treatment.

If you're waiting for a public appointment in Tallaght it could take a few weeks for him to even see the letter, never mind see you. He's only there 2 Thursday mornings a month for adults and another 2 for kids.

The public ENT waiting list is actually maybe a year or two long depending on who you're being referred to.

Health insurance won't cover it because you've seen your gp about it beforE.

Would highly recommend Peter Lacey in James' Hospital, young enough guy with a can-do attitude

Anyway to get a referral to a public ENT bypassing your GP? I suffer from bad sinus infections bi-monthly and wake up every morning bunged up, I've managed to push him to get me a referral to James's for the Immunology unit but want to see what options I have open after that.

Took me a year to get a public ENT appointment through my GP. If it's pressing, consider going private.

I've been going 2+ years and keep trying to push for one. I do tend to avoid going to the GP for a few reasons, waiting time and cost being the main factors so I just try sorting it myself with nasal rinses and sudafed. Private not be extremely expensive?

Went to Mr. Hone in the Hermitage too iirc.

DDKD you need to get a referral from a GP to be referred to a consultant.
