Rebuildable-Affordable-Comparable To Nautilus

I think this will be a bit like asking whats the best colour or the best sweet .

I would like a simple build ( think sub-tank ), reliable, affordable, non leaky, single coil tank .

I use my sub-tank and really like it but it's all direct inhale for me with it, it just seems better suited to it and it works best when you direct inhale . I also use my nautilus mini and really enjoy it . It's all mouth to lung with that and also that's not a problem ......except , I would like something like that that is rebuild able so that with minimum cost I could control my own coil supply at a low cost .

I get the feeling that a lot of people will have a lot of opinions on this so I'm not expecting a landslide win for any one tank but I am hoping for some kind of consensus and maybe one with it's nose out in front. Or maybe I am wrong and there is one that stands out for most people . I am also expecting to see Kayfun clones mentioned a fair bit but I am a bit confused by the V2 V3 V4 etc, are they just different types or are they different versions as they improved through the years ?

ave-at-it boys and girls , set me straight .

    John

I have a kayfun 3.1, a Taifun GT, Kraken Genesis and an Orchid V4. All clones.

The best all rounder is the Taifun GT, it's also the easiest to build on. It's not very diverse but you can dual coil it if you want. A lot of people are probably going to say some variation of Kayfun but really, the Taifun gives an identical style of vape but is so much simpler to build. It's also much easier to fill with no messing around covering air holes to do a top fill "trick" or vacuum methods or needing a needle nose bottle etc. You fill it the same as a nautilus.

Cons: Ridiculous air adjustment method. They give you 2 different sized pole type things to stick in the air hole up on the deck. I just removed I completely and have what I'd probably call a medium draw. Slap bang in the middle of tight and loose.

Orchid is good, but dual coil only and not as easy to build on and wick.

I've been a full size nautilus man through and through for the last 6 months. Then picked up a kayfun 3.1. Lovely draw similar to the nautilus but much more flavour. Simple deck to build on too. However as mentioned it is a pain to fill.

For that reason I picked up a kayfun 4. It's got top fill so no faffing about with screwdrivers/ turning upside down etc. simply twist the juice flow control, open the top section and fill, close it up by doing everything in reverse. It's very handy! The vape is similar to the nauty with airflow control (a little screw under the 510) but more flavoursome (not as flavoursome as the 3.1 imo but a lovely vape none the less).

However I'm new to rebuildables, so others may recommend something better. But as a newbie I find the kayfun4 simple and effective.

Also heard great things about the taifun as mentioned above.

Hope that helps in some way!

I presume the suggestions are clones and I'm assuming that there is more than one clone version so I would appreciate it if ye would say which clone it is .

Sorry. My bad. My kayfun4 is a tobeco clone. My 3.1 was gifted to me so not sure of its origins :)

    Kayfun L+V2.

I have EH Pro, Svoemesto and Tesla clones. The EH Pro and Svoemesto clones are excellent. The tesla is so-so.

I got all of mine second hand so not sure which manufacturer any of them are unfortunately.

My suggestion would be the Squape-R. I have a clone called the "Squapee" that I bought from Desire-ecig. Simple single coil build and depending on which air setting I use, I can do straight lung inhales or mouth to lung, depending on my humour and the mod I'm using

Eh-pro Kayfun lite plus is the best cheapest rebuildable I've used.
Fairly simple to build and wick, brilliant flavour.
I still have one on the go always (Red Astaire in it at the moment), despite having far superior Orchid V4's, Kanger subtank, Atlantis and real Kayfun V4 on the go also. All rebuildables have their own quirks and take some learning, once to get it down its childs play.
That said I have never owned the Taifun but have vaped on one, nice atty.

I own and use 2 x kayfun lite pluses, both original. I've had them now a couple of years. They work for me so I've never bothered looking further a field. I dislike direct to lung so the kayfun's suit my style of vaping. Decent, flavour, good throat hit at 6ml's. I only change the wick once every couple of weeks and replace the coil about once a quarter. Great yokes altogether as far as cost is concerned.

Like most rebuildables, there will be a learning curve, but once you've nailed a couple of builds, it's pretty much plain sailing. Have enough cotton and coil to last the next 20+ years. Only expenditure these days is on juice. The 2 isticks I have are in use all the time, and so I've retired all of my other mechnical mods.

TinCool, you should try the K4 man, all the performance of the liteplus, but juice flow control, slightly better range of airflow control, ability to rebuild or rewick without emptying the tank and most importantly leak free top filling!
Pick up a clone and try it out.
I have the real deal (a present) and its just brilliant.

I went with the Tobeco Kayfun 4 from Declan in ezsmoke.ie . Put my first build on it this morning , 1.2 ohm coil and I have to say I'm impressed .
