    Folks,

I need to get new lug nuts for my Volvo s40. Does anyone know where I could get them handy in Dublin? (Northside)
Halfords only seem to have locknuts, but I just want normal ones.

    Cheers,

    HSB

Volvo dealer in Airside? Otherwise any motor factor should be able to source them.

Any Ford dealer will have them in stock. We keep 20 on hand at any given time because they are so sh1t that we often have to replace several on a car as part of a standard service.

Out of curiousity, what makes them so bad?

Grand...I'll do an auld phone around in the morning. Everyone seems to have lock nuts, but I'm just looking for the simple ones!

They are made in 2 parts with a stainless shell pressed on over the nut itself. The outer shell falls off meaning the wheel brace in the car won't fit when you need to fit the spare on the side of the road.

So we replace any nuts that have come apart like that.
