Transfering money

    Hi, what info do I need if I want to transfer money from an AIB account to BOI account? Would account number and sort code be enough?

    Thank you for getting in contact with us here on Boards.ie

    SEPA transfers now require IBAN and BIC details. The recipient of this transfer will be able to locate these details on their paper or eStatements. 

    Once they know their account number and sort code, they can also generate their IBAN and BIC using this calculator . 

    Just to mention, the time frame for this transfer will depend on the sending bank.
