visa debit card

    Hi,

    I'm travelling in the UK next week. Are there any banks/ATMs that do not recognise Visa debit for cash withdrawal? What charges (if any) should i expect to incur for cash withdrawal?

    Hi citykat, 

    Thank you for getting in contact with us here on Boards.ie. 

    As the Visa Symbol is recognised worldwide almost all banks in the UK should accept your Visa Debit card. All ATM's will display the symbols for cards which they will accept. Once the Visa Symbol is displayed you will be able to use your card at that ATM. 

    For details on fees when using your card abroad, please see here. 

    We would also recommend calling BOI Direct on 0818 365 365 to notify our representatives of your travel plans. If you are registered for 365Online, you can also send a travel notification using your Visa Debit Card number. 

    We hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip next week.
