    Hi Guys,
im looking to sort out my 500m2 driveway area in the next few weeks and need some advice,im going to put down some sub base but this will be left for a good while possible so need it to compact hard,i was thinking of 804 hardcore but have seen before where the bigger stones come up even after rolling it,is there a smaller finer grade of stone i can order with more fines?,is 803 a finer stone mix? that will compact harder or will i just order 804 and then blinding just?

One of my neighbours recently bought a load of "maintenance", a grade that appears to be similar to 804 but finer, a bit like 1" down (if such a grade exists).
Good as a surface dressing of a 6" down driveway, but no good on its own as it washes away easily.
