What to do with two rusty grill and grill pans, is there anywhere that would powder coat them or would this even work for cooking food on? They have rusted badly, who would i need to bring them too to check? Local ironmonger maybe??

    You can't coat them.
The best protective material for cast iron is Bacon grease or cooking oil. Heat them up and scrub any flaking rust off with a stainless steel scourer or a brand new wirebrush on a drill.
Once they are back to sound metal, heat them and rub a rag soaked in bacon fat or cooking oil over them this will soak in to the metal pores and protect them from further corrosion.
If you want to store them, take them off the grill oily and wrap them in clean paper, and keep them in a dry place.
Next time just heat them until they are smoking and rub a wet rag over them to clean them.

    +1 ^^
This process is known as "seasoning", it's needed for any cast iron cookware such as grills and frying pans. The layers of burnt on grease fills the pores in the cast iron and helps the make the surface more non-stick.
