Clampers in Wilton shopping centre

    Today I parked in Wilton shopping centre and went in, I spent a couple of hours shopping , then I met some old friends an we had a cuppa an then I put the shopping in my car and went back into penny's, where I met a few more old friends , in total I was there over 4 hours, I had not planned to be there that long ,

    When I got out my car was clamped, I did not have the 100 euro to pay , I had to call my wife to come for the shopping and I had to leave my car, our budget is so tight at the moment I don't know when I will have a spare 100 euro to get my car unclamped , is there anyway around this ,,!?? Are they a government body ?? Can I cut the lock off the clamp an drive away ?? What's the consequences if I cut the lock ?? Is Wilton car park private ?? If my car gets damaged while it's stuck there are the clampers liable ?? Any help would be appreciated ,
