Hi here, have a friend doing nursing going into 4th year in september and shes just wondering as 4th year is largely internship will she still be eligible for a grant, cheers.

As long as it is a part of the course and they meet all the other eligibility criteria, then yes. Remember the fees still have to be paid for the 4th year of the course.

The grant is decided and based on earnings in previous calendar year , so if this internship is just starting in Sept 2015 in 4th year , it will not affect your claim. ( As far as I know )
