Cheapest way to start trading US Stocks

    Can anyone recommend a site? There are a few US stocks I want to invest in for the medium term. I do have an etrade account from a previous company share purchase plan, is that ok or are there better/cheaper sites to use?

    eTrade would be fine for a few trades and you don't have the hassle of opening a new account.
