I want to do an Art portfolio/plc course this coming year with the hopes of getting into NCAD or IADT. I know Ballyfermot is supposed to be great but I think I'm too late to apply, are they any other good collages anyone could recommend?

Apply to Ballyfermot anyway. Every year people apply, get places and don't take them up.

If you had the CDETB booklet to find the Ballyfermot course, you can find the other CDETB colleges that also do portfolio preparation. Off the top of my head there are courses in the CDETB (previously VEC) colleges in Killester, Coolock, Finglas, Marino and the Liberties. There are also courses in the County Dublin ETB.
