Except he won't be poor. He'll have gone from being on the dole to probably having the biggest ever payday for an Irish fighter.

He'll get a cut of the PPV money which as far as I know is extremely rare for a non champion, especially one who had zero profile in the states up to three years ago. 'If' it's one of the biggest selling PPV's ever by UFC he will make millions from the fight.

One is a legend the other is manufactured to help boost ratings for an organization who's star power has been dwindling over the years.

I didn't mean poor in financial sense, more of a pride sense, after all his 'de belt is as good as moine' jibber jabber.

But yeah, either way it's a big pay day...Jose must be licking lips too.

Judging by his Twitter account he is wrecklessly spending like a person who has just come into huge money. Like many footballers he will broke in a few years

The Djemba Djemba story in itself is amazing. seemingly he was so bad with money he had to live off his apperance bonus as the rest of his cheque would be spent on the high life.

David James I think is one of the more high profile players to loose other all.
