Learning curve isn't as bad as you might fear and don't knock yourself if you get frustrated and have a rollie a couple of times in the first few weeks

And don't forget to drink plenty when you start , vaping has a tendency to dehydrate .

What have you got to lose by trying it? :) nothing!

What have you got to lose by sticking to smokes - the money you spent on the kit!

Pinkstars: Don't be discouraged if you find yourself coughing a lot, your lungs will need a day at least to get used to the huge difference between dry cig smoke and this, which is a wet water vapour.

    It's not water vapour.

It is more a need to clear the throat more frequently than an irritating cough in my experience. I don't think it is vaping causing it but rather the cessation of smoking. I've had the same reaction from quitting smoking cold turkey in the past.

I think of it as a healthy thing. A productive cough rather than an hollow smoker's caugh. Once a few days have passed it dissapears. You no longer produce phlegm and tar that has built up through smoking and you don't have a smoker's cough either.

Though I'm not an expert, I understand that smoking causes a paralysis of lung clearing mechanisms which cause a build up of tar and phelgm. When you stop smoking these mechanisms are reactivated and there's a period where you have to clear your throat. This happens whether or not you switch to vaping.

True, but similar in consistency and effect on the lungs, like getting into a hot shower or a steam room, it'll make you cough when you're not used to it.
