Looking for a second hand hard tail MTB for the trails with my young lad. Looking for a reasonable quality second hand bike, not your Apollo best, budget around €400.

    Martin.

I'll ask questions here and not on adverts if that is ok. What year is the bike and what height are you, i think it will be a bit small. Thanks.

I am slightly taller & have a Giant mountain bike that I would be interested in selling. Haven't touched it in 2/3 years (Am crap off road, well on road as well actually!). I am 6.2 so size should be right. based in Dundalk, anywhere near there?

I have a Rockrider 8.2 mountain bike (that's Decathlon brand), in fairly good nick, though with some repair jobs needed to get it fully operational. I think it's probably a size too big for me, and I'm about 5 10, so might suit someone of your size. Mavic rims, decathlon hubs, sram x9 mostly, with elixir 9 brakes (these are pretty fantastic upgrade brakes). I'm based in Newbridge, but not in Ireland from tomorrow-I can get someone to show the bike though if you are interested.

Thanks. Can you give me some more info on both. The year for both and the model / type for the Giant.

    Koobcam what type of repairs?

OK. Looks good. What is the physical condition, are all parts working, hydraulic brakes, derailleurs, suspension fork etc. etc.?

Any ideas on what you would be looking for before I come see it?

Hi, if you're still looking for a bike I've got a Trek 4500 with a few upgrades that might be of interest.

-Manitou R-Seven 100mm Magnesium Fork Suspension with Lockout

-DMR Moto Digger Tyres (lots of tread left, very grippy off-road and smooth on pavement)

-White Sunline Lock On Handle bar grips

    - Shimano Deore Hollowtech 2 Crankset (massive improvement over regular tapered cranksets)

    -Hollowtech bottom bracket

    -19.5 inch frame

-Hydraulic Shimano Disc Brakes (new pads front and rear)

    -Bontrager Lightweight Handle Bars

Would be looking for €400 for it
