Seems Chrome does not support any plugins anymore, and Internet explorer on my PC says it does not support Strava. I downloaded firefox and it cant detect the plug in although it is downloaded and is visible in all programs.

Any ideas how I can continue to upload spins to strava.

Mine seems to work fine, once an activity is uploaded to Garmin it gets automatically copied over to Strava. Details on how to set it up are here :

Have you got that setup or were you uploading manually to strava?

There is also the site https://tapiriik.com/ that will sync up all your activities from various sites.

No I was manually uploading to Strava. Will look at the Garmin option that you mentioned. Thanks.

Garmin express syncs your device automatically when you connect it and launch the program and it syncs with Strava very quickly thereafter.

I had problems a few weeks ago with uploading an activity and spent ages trying to get it sorted. Did half a dozen things, reinstalling garmin drivers, system restore etc, got it to work. F###ing thing is at the same crap again tonight. Too tired to bother my arse sorting it out.

Doesn't work for me either, but it is as simple as uploading the file manually.

Just select upload manually, choose your garmin device, go to Activities folder and select latest file(-s). Done.

Garmin express does this and will automatically detect your Gamin device and upload automatically.

    https://connect.garmin.com/en-US/start/

Works perfectly for me on both a PC & Mac

The plugin is deprecated. Try using Garmin Express and linking your Strava with your Garmin Connect.

It's bugged. Plenty of people having problems with it. It could work fine for weeks then wreck your head some day. I got it working again today, no idea what caused the problem though. The computer kept saying it was detecting the device but it failed to upload. Didn't show any files when I tried manual upload. Eventually after reinstalling Garmin Express it uploaded.

And when it uploads to Strava the reading are different to those that are on garmin

Mine is still working fine on Chrome, but came across this as a solution.

In the chrome browser address bar (where you would normally have www.something.ie) type
    chrome://flags
then scroll down to the NPAPI option & enable. Then scroll down to the bottom of page & click refresh. It should then work as normal.

NPAPI is due to be fully deprecated in Chrome from Sept. 15 - it can be enabled in current versions as per darkvalley's post above but this will be gone in a few months.

The Garmin plugin no longer works for ridewithgps however Garmin Connect have a new feature to push uploaded files to ridewithgps similar to their Strava yokey.
