Yeah, would have one over a focus any day. Much less likely to give you grief than a 1.6 tdci focus.
That'd be at the cheap end, you need to make sure the car is ok.
It isn't as sharp to handle as the focus, but not a big deal.

Mechanically they are the same as the Hyundai i30.

A friend of mine has an i30 of that year. It's a nice enough car with plenty of kit but the dashboard rattles like mad. That would drive me mental within a few days.

For what it's worth I've had various makes of cars from Toyota to Ford to VW and they have all had an interior rattle of some sort. My current BMW 5 Series has a rattle from the rear bolster of the front passenger seat, so go figure.

This wasn't a little buzzing though it was a full blown rattle, hard to describe without hearing it but it is very bad. He's had a hard locating it too and he doesn't really care about it. I think it is fairly common in the i30 so would be worth keeping an eye out for. Another girl I know has just bought a 14 Qashqai and she's been back to the dealer twice already with a buzzing dashboard. My old 2000 Focus is pretty solid that way, slight buzzing from the seatbelt adjuster but that's it. Rattles and buzzes drive me bonkers.

My mates got petrol 2007 Hyundai or Mithibisi thing cant remember Trajet 2000cc SUV thing with 200,000 kilometers . No major problems just normal consumables
However as car SUV to drive it is boring and has suspension like Victorian wagon so rocks and rolls and has some interesting rattles now at 9 years old .

Hard to beat the Asian cars very boring tinny full of plastic lightweight but do what they say on the can and tend to give less trouble than the Europe cars other than Mercs

    Jed .

To be fair, the trajet is from 15 years ago, the more recent Korean cars are in a different class.
