I'm looking to get a laptop so I can create some personal graphic design and web development projects. Would mainly be interested in a big screen 17.3 inch with a good resolution. High storage capabilities would be required. 1TB but willing to sacrifice if it helps with getting a higher spec.

    Would love some recommendations.

My research has told me that 8gb ram would be minimum required along with a good processor.

    Budget: up to €1000

Intended use: Personal graphic design and web development projects. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. Web browsing.

Mobility: not vital. Just looking for mobility round the house

    Warranty: Not important

What Operating System do you use? Windows

Worth looking at the Dell Inspiron 5000 series

I have a 17" screen and depending on how much design you are doing it works fine. It's only if you want two windows (Photoshop and InDesign say) side by side that I hanker for a 22-24" monitor.

Very similar specs on both machines although the Dell has an LED screen which is better IMO

You don't need big hard drive or 17 inch screen for graphic design... You need a good screen resolution with great color rendering. I've heard that only apple products can deliver high quality if we talk about colors.

I use the biggest size Mac in work 27 inch I think It is. That is my reason for getting the biggest size laptop as possible. What do you think a mac is best for colour?

You would get a lot more bang for buck with a desktop, if thats an option?
