PTSB shares

    Hi Folks,

Hopefully I'm posting this in the right area.

I have a number of IL&P shares I got a few years back while a staff member there. I never did anything with them, I have the share certs in a drawer.

I assume that the IL&P shares got converted to PTSB shares when Irish Life was sold off? (or am I completely wrong?)

If that's correct, are these actually worth anything or were they too diluted when the Government nationalised the whole setup?

The shares would have been converted when Irish Life was bought by PTSB. Unfortunately they are probably worth very little.
Don't be confused by the current share prices around €3.50 because PTSB have changed the share allocation .

In summary every 100 shares has been converted to 1 so the likelihood of getting the benefit of share price increase has been greatly diluted.

Don't plan on the shares for your retirement !
