In the words of Karl Pilkington, who ok'd this idea? What's the point? You spray it on Monday morning and then you don't have to bother on Tuesday? If it's going to last 48 hours, then presumably you don't wash or shower in between.

Protection from what exactly? Its a bit like calling water 'protection for drought'

I have way too many showers, but that Mitchum one for extra stinky people is bloody brilliant. I used Sure the other day running and my arm started to actually chaf. So sexy.

    Is chaf even a word?

I know this does not answer your question but I'm ok with that.

These 24hr 'dry' sprays are usually loaded up with Aluminum (never good to spray in to your open pores), most regular sprays don't use this ingredient it anymore.
A bit like aspartame, it has been removed from all Pepsi products in the US just this week, due to public safety concerns/sentiment (whether proven or unproven).

Speaking of Karl Pilkington, it's because of him I can't tell people an allegedly true story about my uncle: He for a while had two TVs, one with the sound broken and another where the picture doesn't work, so to watch his favourite programmes he'd have them both on at the same time.

Unfortunately, around the time I heard this I also heard Pilkington tell the same story about his Uncle on the Ricky Gervais podcast, so I couldn't tell anyone in case they thought I was stealing it from Pilkington. But I didn't. :( Someone else might have, sure. But it wasn't me.

    Nearly, it's chafe. :)

It's the same with 24 hr foundation. Am I just too old to party for 24hrs that I don't need 24hr foundation :(

Ah. I wrote chaffe and it gave me a squiggly red line but I did not try chafe!

Right click the word & it will give you suggestions of what it should be.

It is just marketting drivel at its best.

Was always a 'wispy mustache fertilizer' man back in the day, or Lynx as it was more commonly known.

Same guff as 24hr bleach. Oh wow look I can use bleach now to hose down everything and yippee unilever are able to in one week double triple quadruple their sales.
    Happy days for all involved.

Anti persperant works by stopping the glands in the arm pit producing sweat. These glands are not on the skins surface so washing after say 24 hours doesn't affect the anti petsperant.

After application it takes some time for the ingredients to be absorbed and take into effect. So yes 48 hours is overkill but you apply the anti persperant every 24 hours so basically you are just topping it up.

Most people will say you should put on anti persperant at night before bed so it has time to be absorbed and you're dry in the mornings and all day even after having a morning shower.

I do wonder sometimes what happened to me that made me happy to open a thread on deodorant and read it all.

    State of my life lads.

Used to be called a Mexican Shower where I came from. Splash, dash, spray, spray, and you were usually good for a week.

Remember having a 15 minute conversation with a girl in a pharmacy in Italy about which deodorant she'd recommend for me so I could pick up Italian women. I could see it the entire way through on her face 'you tight b%stard', but she was just too polite, maintained courtesy throughout, probably thought it was a cultural thing. Paid off though, she made the sale. €1.00 was the damage.

Did you all hear about the can of deodorant that was pulled over at a checkpoint and given a lecture?

    He said 'Right, guard'.

Guy goes into a chemist shop:
    "Do you sell deodorant?"
"Indeed we do, sir. Ball or aerosol?"
"Neither. I want it for my armpits!"
