I was in Ongar today, around Stralem area. There are blue signs everywhere, threatening clamping.
There were plenty of empty spaces, is parking by non residents such a problem that clamping is actually enforced.
Is there anywhere for visitors to park?

    Hi,

Yes its enforced clamping in the estate and was brought in to make people pay the management fees. If you didn't pay then you wernt able to get a pass so your car would be clamped.

If you are visiting someone then they should have a parking permit to give you while you are there. Failing that you could park in the car park at Dunne stores or the village without the worry of getting clamped.
