Seriously low key but cool venue needed

We have decided to go to Barbados next summer and get married on the beach, just the two of us. We are thinking of having a party the day before we go with a humanist ceremony. He knows a lots of celebrants so that should be cool if the venue is open to the public (confusing - may just have to have a blessing - he is gonna sort that bit). Anyone have any suggestions for city centre venue with private space for about 60 people, room for DJ and dancing, potential for maybe a bit of cool decorating like fairy lights etc… Odessa is the only one I can think of.
Like I said this is gonna be low key, no stress, in similar vein to a 30th or 50th or whatever but want it to be good craic and handy for everyone to get to so definitely in town (Dublin).

Drury St has been selected by my friends as a party venue lately.
Never been there (party isn't for another few weeks) but it looks cool and laid back and about the right size.

    Ely wine bar in chq.
Although Id be going right back to your initial suggestion of Odessa. Perfect size. Little dance floor.

Odessa would be perfect, but tell me all the rooms will open to public from 11.30pm sooooo just a little bit not what we wanted - will start checking out above suggestions - all appreciated!

I second Ely wine bar or their Brasserie. We were going to have our wedding there but decided on a more local venue in the end.

Another place we considered was McGrattans on Baggott street.

Ive been in there at a couple of weddings and a famous persons birthday party even once and the 11:30 thing is not just "not bad" is actually pretty cool as a few people drift in and as they realise theyve walked into something are full of congrats for the people celebrating whatever, broke up the nights from what I could see. everyone has a few drinks at that stage and Your 60 people might see a few people start to leave at that stage as well.

Your choice anyway just letting you know if it was something you were worried about, dont be. :)

I went to a wedding reception in Odessa. Jaysus, it was JAMMERS. It's quite a small space and it was so uncomfortably full we left at midnight. Having the place open to the public from 11.30 on is madness.

+1 for this, Drury Street Chambers have a room on the 3rd floor which is very cool and seriously Low Key. It was our preferred venue in Dublin by a long way. It was also featured in one of the Irish Bridal Magazines earlier this year., can't remember which I'm afraid.

Whatever you do, don't say the "W" word when asking about prices...

Ha! Never occurred to me! Yes it might be a 30th birthday so… what can they say if I show up in white ;-)
    Good advice
