I wouldn't buy the first one simply because it has a stupid name.

First one seems to have less pretentions and appears to be more at ease with it's role.

    You expecting a turf war?

If it's used sparingly it won't matter too much. You can't really please everyone in terms of a hard / soft mattress etc. And, unless you're going to use mattress toppers and valances I don't think I'd buy such busy patterns.

Dont buy any of them even for the spare room. If you are in no hurry I would wait and buy a good quality mattress
and you will get years out of it.,

Get the expensive one, any bit of riding and the cheap one will go to rags.

Don't be cheap, there will be plenty of nights where you come home hammered and you will be sent to the spare room. You'll thank yourself for it later.

Does anyone know how to get a spunk stain off a mattress?

Find a showroom to test them out, just ask one of the salespersons that you would like to 'try before you buy', everyone does it!

    Hi Lads,

    Need a quick help.
I need 2 single mattress for the spare room. It will be used very sparely, so the cheapest would be the best option.
After a quick search, I have narrowed down to:

    http://www.mattress.ie/snooze-rite-europa-single-mattress.html

    and

    http://www.thebedfactory.ie/store/p250/Starry_Night_Mattresses_From.html

    Which one :) ?

You get what you pay for.
I always lift it up at one end and if it bends badly I deem it to be of very poor quality.
If it is for children , say up to 10 years old, then maybe buy one or the other. Because after , say, 4 years of use by children it might be full of stains, micro food particles, etc. and it could be changed for a better quality one.

You should go into two or three big mattrass retailers and lay on/lift up several mattrasses within your price range

Do not be surprised if the shop assistant says, when he/she sees you showing an interest in one particular mattrass, 'I use that mattrass all the time and I find them excellent'

I recently purchased a Hästens mattress. It wasn't a cheap purchase, but I must say that it has really improved the quality of my sleep. If it's good enough for the Swedish Royal Family then it's good enough for me.
