Curtain Sizes

    Hi All,

I'm in the middle of doing up my new house and need to organise curtains.

Question 1: Two of the bedroom windows measure 180cm wide so I bought 90 * 90 curtains - will this give too full an appearance? There will be roman blind in the insert of the window also.

Question 2: The master bedroom window is 270cm wide - what size curtains should I get for this window? There will be a 'static' roman blind in this window.

I really don't have a clue about curtains so advice will be really appreciated.

    Regards,
    Niamh

    Hi
The following table is a guide for estimating fabric quantities for curtains.

Sheer Fabric - 2.5 to 3 times the width of the window

Medium Weight Fabric - 2.5 times the width of the window

Heavy Fabric - 2 times the width of the window

I'm having trouble with curtain sizes. Sitting room window is 256cm wide and 193cm length. Should I get 130x90 curtains ?

    Thanks
