A cyclist was knocked of her bike this morning on the Kylemore road & the driver just drove of after he knocked her down - how can someone do this? He didn't even wait to see if the girl was alright. Didn't see the accident happen myself but was at the bus stop close to it shortly after it happened, the girl was there and was up on her feet and seemed to be okay and was just waiting on the guards to come - apparently she got his full reg so hopefully he will be caught - just don't get how you can knock someone down and just drive of like that :confused:

    Shocking but not surprising!

Of course the standard defence is I did not realise...The cyclist was to blame...I did not see them....etc

Hope the girl is ok and the motorist gets 'to see' the full force of the law in this regard.

OP, you did not witness what happened. You have the word of others which you have no reason to disbelieve. However should this come to court having a discussion over what did or did not happen on here could prejudice any case. I therefore am closing the thread
