Changing from Calor Gas to Oil?

I bought a house in an estate where Calor supplies the gas to all the houses through a bulk storage tank. I find Calor gas hugely expensive and I don't find their customer service good. There is no town/piped gas in the area but am thinking of changing from Calor gas to oil. Is this possible? What would I need to do? I know I would need a tank in my garden - my garden is sloping so I don't know how possible this would be. Have I any other options re. heating. No chimney so can't install solid fuel.

If your set on oil you'll need a plumber to look at the job. If your garden is sloped you'll probably need a bunded oil tank. It'd be an expensive changeover. What gas boiler is currently in the house?

How much are you paying, per litre ?

I ask as sometimes estates are built for mains natural gas But until natural gas is available locally the likes of Bord Gais sub the contact out to Calor. But you'd be paying BG rates, not Calor. ..... you need to look at your bill. .

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
