Hi, I am considering opening a sterling account as I deal in English pounds quite often. What are the benefits of opening a currency account?

Hi thanks for your reply. Just one more query. Lately I have been receiving many Euro foreign cheques ( from usually France and Spain) and have noticed the commission to be quite high, why is this?

    Hi SeanJ09,

    Thanks for your post.

You can view the full list of international fees and charges here

Foreign cheques need to go through a clearing process and this can take 4 - 6 weeks. One option that might be worth considering would be electronic transfers to your account instead of cheque lodgements. This way, the funds would be available to you a lot quicker.

    Thanks

    Billy
