How do I convey openness to various roles without sounding desperate or vague?

Advice on this would mean the world to me! I'm really stuck.

I'm setting up informational interviews, as well as coffee meetings, with people who work in the companies I'm interested in. The problem I'm grappling with is: I really want to work at a particular company, and I have a broad area of interest (marketing, sales, advertising), and more than anything else I just want to get my foot in the door. How do I convey my openness to various roles without sounding desperate or vague about what I want?

I am worried that by being too specific I inadvertently block myself from other positions in the company. But at the same time, in my upcoming meetings, I don't want them to feel like I've wasted their time by not being specific about what I want.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.
