Newgate Motors, Navan, reopen as Mercedes dealer

Former merc., honda , mazda and land rover dealers newgate had a very low key closure 2 yrs ago - would imagine their large and impressive premises proved too expensive to run.
i see that newgate motor group are now listed as merc. dealers at same address. assume its same plp behind original garage ? strange that they go out of business and then regain merc. franchise !

their former premises would be too big for just merc. but would imagine regaining all the franchises they lost is not practical and would involve alot investment in stk.

I remember when they closed up. Everything just vanished, was very strange to see it empty.

Good to know they're reopening, won't have to go far for my merc bits again

Hopefully they won't keep charging through the teeth for servicing, like they did in the good ol days.

I'd like to see Mazda go back in there too. Make it easier for me

They were extortionate. Had a slk and most of their parts were ordered via MSL with a mark up.

Glad to see them up and running again even though I wouldn't be in the market for a Mercedes .. hope they can make a go of it ..

They were always spendy for land rover bits even compared to Chapmans out in Kildare.

Anybody left out of pocket by their closure wont be so happy to see them open again they were known for doing good deals . Seen cars here in cork bought there
