    Hello,

We are looking at developing a community garden - and I was looking for advice on low maintenance planting? Its quite a public area that can get a lot of traffic, high probability that some plants might be stolen so we need some stronger/hardier options. The aim is to soften the area and make it look nice so any advice welcome!

    Thanks :)

Buxus; cheap in Lidl right now, stylish (with a little regular trimming).

Buxus is 'box' - those fashionable neatly-clipped tiny hedges. Often a very nice structural feature in a small garden.

A mix of allium and various grasses.

And every garden should have at least one rosemary bush, for beauty and good taste (in both senses).
