What happens if you go over the department deadline for herd test? My old vet was a hoor for not sending back the results and even though I always tested before the deadline I used go get warning letters from the department.

Only issue is you'll be locked up until test is done. I deliberately used to go over by two weeks for couple of years so I could drag the test into mid November when all stock would be housed never a problem.

Did it this year as I had no crush ha. Locked up for the month. Doing it on tue, definitely better now, animals mostly out and we got a chance to clean out the yard etc.

I take it I don't need to do it for 12 months from this test against from the original test date. Or is it backdated like the bloody nct ha.

Got locked up on Friday. Phonecall from dept to say an animal we sold six months ago turned up with lesions in the factory on 1st of April. Only comfort is we had herd test around a fortnight before he was sold and sailed through. Herd test on Wednesday.

I normally do the test around the end of May but I did it earlier last year before I bought extra stock to keep the vet bill down. Now this year they have used last years test date as the latest date for this years test, feckers
