I use a pair of Giordana Trade shorts and they're good but have a bit of mileage, can't find them at a decent price. Also have a pair I got which are like club shorts made by Santic but pretty comfy. On the lookout for a decent pair that doesn't break the bank so around the €60 mark maybe and more suited to long distance riding with a premium on comfort.

Hard to pass the Wiggle/dhb shorts with that spec, I have two pairs, both have lasted well and been very comfy,

Hard to pass the Wiggle/dhb versions

I'd be going for the Aeron pro's.

These are pretty expensive given current conversion rates, about 90 quid.

Thread title is "reasonbly priced" not "cheap" :).

This is a reasonable price for Castelli shorts, you won't regret the extra few quid for the quality.

Scrimping on shorts equals sore bum time in the future in my experience.

These are really comfortable for long distance. Not the nicest looking, compared to more expensive shorts, but for price and comfort really good value. Have used them on 4/5 300km plus audax rides.

I got the above for €60 last year and have just emailed seller to see if he still has stock. Really nice shorts

Try sportspursuit.com if your not in a hurry. Or else probikekit.co.uk own brand shorts or Santini on prendas maybe, but their best shorts are normally €100 or so

No I'm not looking to skimp, im just looking for an exceptional deal. Thread title is probably poor alright. For example I can find the Giordana Trade shorts for about €50 on rose bikes but they're too small for me. Looking at these Pissei shorts now. Anyone else got them?

The hair thing may appeal to the older generation alright. Going to go with those shorts. Will post up some feedback after I get them. Thread title may not have been too bad afterall. :)

Is it just me or does that hairy guy’s head look like it is on backwards? When I glanced at the photo I flinched in the same way as I always do when I see my daughter’s dolls with their heads facing the wrong way round, which is funnily/disturbingly often!

Re ProBikeKit own-branded kit, in the distant past this has been branded Castelli stuff (which was very good value at the time), sometimes Craft (or perhaps Sportful, I can’t quite recall), and sometimes Santini I think. I don’t know which brand(s) they rebadge these days, they don’t always make it obvious in their product description. I’ve been very happy with the quality of PBK-branded stuff I’ve bought but, with the odd exception, when I’ve (infrequently) checked in recent months their prices don’t seem such good value as before, not just for their own-branded stuff but across the board too.

I swear by the Decathalon top end shorts, have three pairs of them now.

They knock socks off my Santini and annihilate anything the club buys...
