    Hello
Just looking for some tips and advice with this.
The old goodmans 4 in 1 stereo I was using died so I bought this

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Steepletone-ST282-v2-Record-Turntable/dp/B00CIZERUY

I plan on using the speakers from the old Goodmans system on it, but apparently there is a subwoofer socket?
I havent dealt with these before so if anyone could explain what subwoofers are likely to be compatible and point me towards some cheap ones I'd be very grateful.
Im also hoping to use the turntable as an amp and run the TV and radio through it using the line in.
Is that going to be possible?
    Thanks!

That is not a HiFi, at best it's a cheep sounding record player.
I won't bother with a subwoofer for that record player, it will do little to improve the sound

Search DTL sub 2.1 for compatible speakers from Amazon.

They use 3.5mm jacks (headphone type) for the connections and reviews say these are easily broken.

Honestly though, this looks like the worst "lucky bag" piece of junk ever, your money would probably last longer if you threw it over a cliff.

I would save for a while and get something better.

This is what it'll sound like. Pulled straight off the lineout of a similar Steepletone system, straight into audacity.

(Note, I think for these purposes, Fair Dealing applies since it's a case of commentary on what a piece of equipment sounds like rather than the song itself. And I was too lazy to cut the track)

I have one of those Steepletone units myself. It's a different model, but the basic turntable, tonearm and cartridge assembly is shared between all of them. It got about halfway through a record before sounding like mud, and really struggled with guitars and the like.

Better to pick up a real 2nd hand turntable in a market for around 70 euros, that yoke is rubbish no offense.
