    Hi,
Having a issue with my 2000 e11 Toyota Corolla .The headlights are making a whining/turning/adjusting noise every few seconds.it happens in parking lights, dipped and in full lights. I had a look under the bonnet and there is this black square box connected directly to the middle of the back of each headlight. That is where this noise is coming from. What is this box do u know? What do u think is the problem? Thanks

I think this model has the headlight adjuster where you can from the dashboard adjust the headlight level. Is it possible a bulb was fitted incorrectly and is causing issues with the adjuster? Can you change the adjuster level to see if it is functioning on both sides?

Just realised their the motor adjusters. Any idea how one of these costs from
    Motor factors.

Breakers is the place you get them.

    Although they're likely fine.

Had the same problem - replaced adjuster knob housing - located near handbrake lever - problem solved!

As a temporary measure. Lift up the adjuster switch in the car and disconnect it. It'll stop the noise.
