PLC without leaving cert

Hi, is it worth my while to apply for a PLC course without my leaving cert? I'm also under the age of 23 (I'm 22 :( ) so I can't apply as a mature student.

It's just that the college I'm applying to has a 20 euro fee for the application and while I know I could handle the course (I study it by myself at home) there's no where to let them know I would be capable. Should I give them a ring?

It would be better to make an appointment and see the co-ordinator. You need LC standard for many PLC courses, not LC.

Most Fetac courses consider a mature applicant to be over 21, not 23 as with universities. Give it a go!

Yes, you need to enquire with the college. Some have a strict LC policy for under 23's. They won't/can't make an exception. No point wasting your time applying if they won't take you.

Not most. Some. Many. You have to check with the individual college.
