Have convinced the missus to get rid of the  mismatched cheapo chinese crap on her 2008 Astra 1.4 GTC.

She won't cough up for any of the premium category tyres so we're looking around €65 a pop.

Dry/Wet safety/handling and comfort the main focus.

Anything worth looking at or do I need to dip into my own pocket to bring her up to the €85-90 mark?

    Should've mentioned they are 205/55 R16's

    Thanks

    Kumho are decent mid-range tyres.

Use Vredstein Vorti's myself, very good so called mid range tyre, think there better than that though.

Dont think they do them in 16's but these should do good job

Tyre Stop branches were selling Michelin's in that size for between €80-€90 recently.

€65 would only get you a matching set of Chinese crap to replace the mismatched set so not much advantage.

205/55 16 is such a common size that the price difference between the cheap crap and premium brands is quite small.

So spending an extra €20 per corner gets you into something decent (for example Pirelli P7 Cintuarto @€;85 each). You/she would be mad not to spend the extra money IMO.
