I agree with milly it's impossible to suggest really. We got a few wedding presents and I treasure everyone.

I like the art on slate as per link above. It's personal and we got one for the kids too as they were born

Depends on personal taste but Waterford crystal picture frame, candle sticks, are good.

A voucher for a luxury hotel or restaurant

I would like to get them something meaningful , but they don't want anything for their house as they don't have a home yet. It's really hard to know! Thanks

A voucher for their favourite restaurant would probably mean a night out on their own after the hullabaloo of the wedding itself dies down. This in itself can be priceless.

well you could maybe get them something like a photo shoot not a wedding one but just one of them.

Or you could try and see if you could get your hands on some photos of them throughout the years ones where they look really happy and are enjoying life, get them all put together in a album for them...

or a sketch of the two of them..

Get two stars named after them, you could get two together in her new surname so they are forever there, that's kinda cute...

Someone else suggested on a similar thread booking a night in a hotel for them on their first wedding anniversary. You could book they hotel they got married in. Or for something more immediate maybe for three months after the wedding.

Have a look on notonthehighstreet.com. I find it great for little personal gifts, we usually put a few bob in a card as well (less the we usually do) so it's best of both worlds!

    What would be your budget?
Do they live together? Is there any home item they need?
With the cost of a wedding, other areas may have taken a back seat.

Voucher for hotel or restaurant is also a lovely idea.

You could also pay for an aspect of their wedding. I remember being a wedding before where after the church the groom and bride drove off in a red vintage convertible car afterwards. it caused quite a stir and was great for photos! The bride told me that her sister's wedding present to them was to hire that car for their wedding. Just an idea. Like we're not getting a wedding car coz it's too expensive, so if somoene gifted me the use of one I'd be delighted (esp if it was a nice one :)

Or you could pay for her wedding cake or a sweet trolley or her wedding favours..

If you want a present that will last the test of time how about a nice suitcase for the honeymoon? Or a set of suitcases depending on your budget. That's something they would get lots of use out of for years to come as well. Most people would like nice luggage but don't want to splash out for a decent one.
