    Hi All,
i have a few pieces of wooden furniture sitting outside all year round that i would like to be able to protect, the main things are a picnic bench and a swing. looking at the options available there are a myriad of choices, such as for sheds/fences (could this not be used for furniture) or more expensive specialist garden furniture stuff for softwood and hardwood.

i suppose i'm looking for peoples experiences on these products for outside furniture, i don't mind paying if something is worth it. also how do i know if the furniture is hardwood/softwood?

    thanks for any help/advice available.

teak oil is great for this kind of thing....
For any outdoor wood, I would always use oil based and stay away from stains and water based stains

Cheers for the reply. Is teak oil suitable for all wood?
