Quick question about renewing my SEP Class Rating

    Hi there...

I got my PPL in 2012 and renewed my SEP Class rating last year. Obviously it's due for renewal again next year, and unless something has changed, the same basic criteria still apply (12 hours flying in the 12 months prior to the renewal date, with one of those 12 hours being with an instructor).

Anyhow, I plan to start my 12 hours in the next couple of months, but I was wondering if it's ok to have those 12 hours in different aircraft (assuming they're all SEP aircraft) and even in different countries? I hope to go to the US later this year and was tempted to fly an hour or two over there (with an Instructor of course). Would those hours in the US count towards my 12 hours here?

    Thanks in advance...

    J.

Once you have 12 hours logged with a minimum of 6 hours in command and 1 hour with instructor for sign off, it doesn't matter where the hours came from as long as they were logged in a SEP (excluding microlight aircraft)

    Thanks

Excellent, thanks! That's what I thought, but I wanted to check...
