Wooden storage units in our bathroom have gotten quite mouldy due to the constant moisture there. Has anyone ever successfully cleaned mould off wood (oak if that makes a difference) and if so, how?

A Mould cleaner should do the job no problem, But you really need to sort out your ventilation in the Bathroom.
Make sure all vents are kept open to prevent the buildup of condensation.
