Susi self employment

    Hi, my father worked full time and also had a side job which was self employed.

    He did a tax return every year and I sent this into susi, however, he have this up and hasn't done it since 2013! He is on social welfare since. Does he need to stil do a return even if he no longer works as a self employed person part time or can he get the tax office give him a letter stating so!

    Bit confused!

    Revenue can provide a notice of cessation of trading. This will be sufficient.
