Molded cup bras

I buy mostly molded cup bras because, y'know, peanut smuggling. Does anyone else have a problem with the top of the cups kind of folding over after a few washes? I always re-shape the cups as soon as the bras come out of the wash but it doesn't really seem to be making much difference. It's really annoying as obviously it can completely ruin the line of a top.

And I know I should be handwashing them, before anyone mentions it, but come on, ain't nobody got time fo' dat.

Just wondering if anyone else has found this and what, if anything, they do to stop it?

If you're going to wash them in the machine, put each one in a laundry bag. This should help minimise the stretching and softening of the cups. Also make sure you use the gentle spin cycle on the machine, anything stronger will ruin them after a few washes.
If they're the type with a sort of plastic frame inside (instead of underwire) absolutely don't machine wash, as they will just snap after one or two washes (great fun after spending over 50 quid on one, grr)

Also avoid twisting or folding the cups into each other for storage - I think this stretches the fabric and effects the fit over time. Store them 'flat' if you can.

I would concur with this about storing them flat. Helps in keeping the original shape as much as possible.

I hang all of mine on a rail in my wardrobe on mini hangers.. has really helped with keeping the shape of them.
I also never tumble dry mine, just let them air dry on their hangers.

I wash on delicate cycle with detergent for delicates. No tumble drying is a given. But it could also be just quality of the bra. I mostly buy midrange bras (20-40 Euro) and they are fine. Whatever I bought in Dunnes didn't last and lost shape.
