I was wondering, what if you import a car that does not have its original engine or modified into ireland.

The engine and hp/tq are officially on papers so its legal.
But it does not match the original engine how it was released in Ireland.
Will they force you to make it original again or will they change the papers based on your car?

    Just wondering.

The VRT agent only inspects the chassis number matches the V5 document and to check the mileage for the VRT calculation. Ive done this 2 times in the last year and never once did they open the bonnet (On Fords as the main Chassis no is under the drivers seat)
